Her current  research thesis titled “The interaction of poetics and moving image in terms of metaphor and narrative”, examines the characters of space and narrative, and argues that events and their narrative will always generate the atmosphere for the poetic metaphor, which is represented and enhanced through the reader’s imagination.

The development of the motion graphic (movie, video installation, graphic interchange format) has a lot to do with the narrative, namely the narration methods and the narrative order, and this could be extensively examined to see how it impacts on the consumers’ thoughts and perception of realities.  She is investigating the interlinked issues bordering on the development of present Chinese video art in terms of its classification, corpus,representative means, contents.
